Product information
Switch Nutrition Griffonia is a single-ingredient botanical from the Switch Nutrition Essentials range. Each vegan capsule delivers 99mg of Griffonia simplicifolia seed extract — the plant that is the natural source of 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan).
5-HTP is the compound the body converts into serotonin, the neurotransmitter involved in mood, appetite regulation and the sleep-wake cycle. Because serotonin is also the precursor to melatonin, Griffonia is traditionally taken in the evening and is often paired with a magnesium or sleep formula rather than taken alongside stimulants.
Switch Nutrition keeps the formula deliberately simple — no fillers beyond the natural anti-caking agents needed to keep the powder flowing, and a vegetable cellulose capsule rather than gelatine. With 120 capsules per jar at one capsule per serve, a single jar is a four-month supply.
Why Griffonia
- 99mg Griffonia simplicifolia per capsule — naturally occurring 5-HTP, not synthesised
- 120 single-capsule serves — one jar, four months
- Vegan — vegetable cellulose capsule, no gelatine
- No added gluten, dairy or soy
- Nothing else added — no sweeteners, flavours or colours
How to take it
Consume 1 serve (1 capsule) daily, or as recommended by your health care provider. Do not exceed 1 serve daily. Most people take it in the evening.
Important
Not intended or recommended for children under 15 years of age, or for pregnant or lactating women. If you are taking any prescribed medication — particularly antidepressants, migraine medication or anything else that affects serotonin — speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. Discontinue use and seek advice if you experience any adverse reaction. A dietary supplement is not a replacement for a balanced diet.
Allergen advice: No added gluten, dairy or soy. Manufactured in a facility that also processes wheat, tree nuts, seeds, dairy, soy, corn and fish. May contain traces of fish, soy, egg, corn and seeds.
